You can find the answers of some frequently asked questions.
Do I need visa?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Many travelers—such as citizens of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia - can visit countries in the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa for tourism. This includes all our popular Central European destinations like Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany.
If your country is not visa-exempt, you will need to apply for a Schengen Visa before traveling. We recommend checking the latest requirements with the embassy or consulate of the country you plan to visit before your trip.
How to obtain visa?
If your nationality requires a visa, you must apply for a short-stay Schengen Visa before traveling to countries within the Schengen Area. In most cases, applications are submitted through an official visa application center such as VFS Global or a similar authorized service provider that handles document collection on behalf of the embassy or consulate.
You will typically need to complete the visa application form and submit documents such as a valid passport, travel itinerary, accommodation confirmation, travel medical insurance, and proof of sufficient financial means. Applicants usually attend an appointment at the visa center to submit their documents and provide biometric data (fingerprints and photo).
Processing times vary depending on the embassy and season, so it is recommended to apply several weeks before your planned trip.
How much time does it take to get visa?
Consulates generally request that you apply at least 15 days before your planned travel, but the actual processing time can be longer depending on the country, season, and your individual case. In some situations, it may take several weeks, so it’s recommended to submit your application well in advance to avoid any delays.
